Prayer
01

What is Prayer?

  • It is an expression of your desires
  • It's a platform to communicate with God
  • It's a platform to instruct people and situations about what must happen

Grace is the protocol of prayer. It is not in the language, but in grace. It is not about how perfect you are — it's about grace.

"Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need."Hebrews 4:16, NKJV

Grace is the Protocol of Prayer

Every throne room has a protocol — a right way to approach it. In the Kingdom, that protocol is not our eloquence or our performance. It is grace. We are not received because we said the right words; we are received because of what grace has already accomplished on our behalf.

"Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need."Hebrews 4:16, NKJV

The Mindset of Prayer

  • Have confidence in God
  • Confidence is a platform upon which we stand to receive from God
  • We must have more confidence in the God of prayer than in the prayer we make
"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."Hebrews 11:6, NKJV

Mindful of God's Faithfulness As We Pray

God's faithfulness gives us hope. Hope is when we believe the best out of a situation, based on God's faithfulness — and trust in God is the seed from which that hope grows.

"Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him."1 John 5:14-15, NKJV
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding."Proverbs 3:5, NKJV
